About BIJAL

A cultural architect at the intersection of global music and modern hospitality, Bijal Panwala is shaping the narrative of a new generation.

Born: 05/14/1983 in Surat, India

Genre: Dance/Electronic, Hip-Hop, Pop

Full Name: Bijal Panwala

Artist Name: BIJAL ®

Also Known As: DJ Bijal Panwala & DJ Bijal

“From breaking barriers as one of the first South Asian DJs in mainstream American media to building a lifestyle hotel brand from the ground up, BIJAL® has made a career out of rewriting the rules.”

BIJAL®—the artist identity adopted in 2012 by Bijal Panwala, formerly known as DJ Bijal and Mr. Everywhere®—has built a career that bridges music, culture, and hospitality with unapologetic ambition. A trailblazer for South Asian talent, he created and hosted his own nationally broadcast show, Everywhere Radio®, on SiriusXM, while becoming one of the defining faces of Serato Scratch Live during its revolutionary shift from vinyl to digital DJing.

Beyond the booth, BIJAL® redefined the blueprint for artists turned entrepreneurs. In 2010, he launched Hotel BPM in New York—a music-driven lifestyle hotel brand that quickly earned a reputation for blending boutique design with a curated, sound-centric guest experience.

With a career spanning iconic nightclub residencies, global radio syndication, brand collaborations, and a pioneering role in representation, BIJAL® continues to shape the conversation where music, culture, and hospitality collide.

Before his success in radio, Bijal® made his mark as a fixture of New York City’s legendary nightclub scene. Holding residencies at iconic venues such as Exit, Sound Factory, and Limelight, he became a sought-after DJ known for electrifying live performances and shaping the city’s nightlife soundtrack. Simultaneously, he built a strong reputation in the mixtape circuit, collaborating with major record labels to promote emerging and established artists. His mixtapes featured collaborations with industry heavyweights such as Ryan Leslie, Fatman Scoop, Black Butterfly, Che’Nelle, Akon, Ne-Yo, G-Unit, Rasika Mathur of MTV’s Wild ’N Out, Mike Jones, and David Banner. His contributions to the music scene earned major recognition, and in 2005, MTV named DJ Bijal one of the Top DJs to watch. The following year, in 2006, he served as the official DJ for the MTV Awards Party, solidifying his place among the leading tastemakers of the era.

Bijal’s radio career began at LIU Brooklyn, where he hosted and DJed on college radio — a training ground that helped him master the art of broadcasting. He later became an official DJ and mixshow host on AOL Radio, one of the first digital radio platforms, where he championed new music during the dawn of streaming. That experience laid the foundation for Everywhere Radio® on SiriusXM, a groundbreaking show that was nationally broadcast and syndicated to more than 30 global stations. He also launched a South Asian-focused edition of the show on Desi Hits, the global platform founded by Anjula Acharia, amplifying multicultural voices across international airwaves.

Expanding beyond the booth, Bijal launched Hotel BPM®, a music-infused boutique hotel brand rooted in sound and style. Its Brooklyn flagship quickly gained acclaim, earning a #2 spot on TripAdvisor within the 1st year of opening; drawing DJs, artists, and culturally curious travelers from around the world. The hotel’s immersive concept extended beyond design, with custom elements like the Sound Sleeper® mattress—engineered by Bijal himself for optimal comfort and rest—and a bespoke Hotel BPM® edition of the Tivoli Audio Model One BT radio, combining analog warmth with Bluetooth functionality for a signature in-room sound experience. The success of the concept sparked interest across hospitality and entertainment, further solidifying Bijal’s reputation as a brand visionary whose creative ideas translate across industries.

As an entrepreneur, innovator, and cultural catalyst, Bijal Panwala continues to redefine what’s possible at the intersection of sound, space, and storytelling — a testament to the power of vision, creativity, and relentless execution.
